Windsor Group is a real estate development advisory and owner representative firm that provides various services ranging from planning and due diligence to comprehensive project and development management.
Founder Greg Smith has done work all over Texas, having worked in most major metropolitan areas throughout the state. Greg has a strong and diverse background in project management and real estate development advisory over his 15+ years of experience and was recently recognized by ENR as a top professional under 40 in the Texas Louisiana region. His portfolio spans municipal, higher education, commercial, and mission-based clients. Greg has worked on 50+ projects, totaling over $1B in construction and is a published author and speaker on a range of construction and development topics.
Greg has been in Austin for several years and now he and his wife have two native Austinite children – Wyatt and Roslyn. When Greg is not working, you can find him running the Town Lake Trail, at the Mueller Farmer’s Market with his family on Sundays, out in hill country trying some new wines, or (in summer) at his favorite Austin hot spot – Deep Eddy Municipal Pool.

Represent the owner and their interests by leading the execution of design and construction projects. Provide leadership, coordination, and direction amongst all professional entities involved with the project to meet project objectives including scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
Development Advisory
Serve as the client’s trusted advisor through the development process and transaction mitigating development risks. Provide guidance on development contractual terms and associated impacts, permitting and regulatory matters. Review pro forma and development budget, construction schedule, liquidated damages, guaranteed maximum price budget and related documents. Assist clients in public private partnerships providing guidance on the mitigation of design and construction related risks.
